Science Communication

The Science Communication Facet will build on over a decade of experience in the School of Forestry-hosted Southwest Fire Science Consortium (SWFSC)–an inter-agency, inter-organizational, and inter-disciplinary program funded by the Joint Fire Science Program. The goal of this program is to get emerging science on the ground by connecting scientists, land managers, and the public. The initiative will leverage SWFSC work to tackle complex, yet important, issues related to wildland fire through workshops, conferences, field trips, webinars, videos, fact sheets, science syntheses and more.

We are producing Fact Sheets related to Wildfire Smoke, Fire Regimes and Invasive Species in the Sonoran Desert, and on Arizona State Forestry and Wildfire History. These Fact Sheets will be posted to this page after publication.
