Job Title: Media Specialist

Job Summary: The Media Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing and executing marketing campaigns, managing social media platforms, and overseeing media-related tasks. The ideal candidate is a creative and data-driven individual who can contribute fresh ideas, engage our audience, and drive program awareness through various digital channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage marketing-related projects and assist in the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
- Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and media partners as needed to develop and deliver uniform messages related to wildland fire in Arizona.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts using tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize marketing and media strategies and stay updated on marketing trends and innovation.
- Train others on the Arizona Wildfire Initiative to interview properly with reporters as needed.
- Develop social media strategy and oversee content development on multiple platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, LinkedIn) to increase brand visibility and engage with followers.
- Oversee intern(s) and staff to assist in development and delivery of content.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in marketing, social media management, and media-related roles.
- Proficiency in using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
- Strong creative and content creation skills with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Familiarity with SEO and SEM strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
