The fire burned east of Florence Arizona in the Gila River. Engine 4665 along with Aravaipa Hotshots and Douglas Crew worked 6 days to secure the fires edge. Saw work and bladder bags were some of the tool's necessary to support containment due to remoteness of the incident and lack of vehicle accessibility.

USFS Branch Chief for National Fire Training

  • Oversees and coordinates the national efforts to provide comprehensive oversight of Fire and Aviation
    training and delivery, including training curriculum, course content, and instruction methodology against
    short- and long-term agency needs.
  • Provides advice and interpretation for national implementation of Forest Service and NWCG policy directives and programs.
  • Provides long range assessments that examine agency program direction, mission, and workforce needs to determine knowledge, skill, and ability expectations for workforce preparedness.
