Welcome our New Program Assistant Manager for Community Resilience: Megan Rangel-Lynch!

A big welcome to our newest team member, Megan! Megan received a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon where her research included a study of how the U.S. Forest Service engages with communities during the revision of multiple National Forest Plans. Having grown up in Southern California and in living on West Coast, Megan has seen firsthand how a lack of preparedness for wildfire can exacerbate its effects. Megan experienced a stay-indoors advisory while the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire in Oregon destroyed local communities and affected others across the region. With a passion for community engagement and inclusive outreach, Megan is excited to work with communities across AZ to respond to and recover from wildfires.
